As a strong advocate for rural communities, Boren's top priorities are job creation, improving education and rural health care, and making Oklahoma's small business environment more conducive to growth. Also an active member of the Congressional Blue Dogs Caucus, Boren works closely with his colleagues to curb unnecessary government spending and keep Congress fiscally responsible. He currently serves on the House Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Natural Resources Committee, and is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs.
