Events and publication information timeline
The Partners in Education year follows the Tulsa Public Schools calendar. The year begins with a kick-off breakfast in the Fall and ends with a Recognition Reception in the Spring.
Kickoff Breakfast – early Fall
A breakfast held in early fall to kick off the new school year. This event is attended by partnering organizations, CEO’s, site coordinators and school principals. Prospective partners also receive special invitations.
Partnership Development Series – Fall & Winter
Series of seminars for school principals, coordinators, and their business/community partners to network, learn new techniques and gather successful partnership ideas. These sessions are held four times throughout the school year.
Partners in Education Newsletter – Fall & Spring
This eight-page newsletter is published two times throughout the school year and is mailed to schools, businesses and community partners in the Tulsa Public Schools District.
Partners in Education Handbook – published annually
The handbook is a practical and invaluable guide to the Partners in Education program for businesses and community organizations. It is also designed as a marketing tool for school administrators. The handbook includes “how to” instructions for partners, activity ideas, and other creative suggestions that are guaranteed to maximize partnerships. This is sent to all current and prospective partners.
Success Stories – early Winter
These will be used to determine award winners at the year-end reception, as well as stories for the Partner Press newsletter. This is a great opportunity to let other organizations know what you are doing with your school and share ideas. This is your opportunity to brag on the exciting/ beneficial things
Recognition Reception – Spring
This end-of-the-year celebration recognizes partners for their participation and support of the program. Awards are given out to partners that went above and beyond the call of duty. This event is held in the spring at the end of the school year.
