2.28.2013
Tulsa’s hometown team, the Golden Hurricane, will compete for the men’s and women’s Conference USA championship titles with a home court advantage this month as the C-USA men’s and women’s basketball championships travel to Tulsa March 13-16.

“It’s a sense of ownership,” said Ray Hoyt, senior vice president of VisitTulsa and the Tulsa Sports Commission. “This is Tulsa’s Tournament. It’s The University of Tulsa and the Tulsa community’s time to shine to a national audience.”

All-session passes are currently on sale for the four-day event that includes a total of 21 games. The first two days of women’s competition will be held at the Tulsa Convention Center, then will move over to the BOK Center, where the men’s teams will be playing for the entire tournament.

Members of the Tulsa Regional Chamber are invited to enjoy special ticket packaging and pricing.

“The Tulsa Sports Commission and Tulsa Regional Chamber hope that the Tulsa community and our membership will take this opportunity to enjoy a quality event,” Hoyt said. “It’s important we show up, show the Golden Hurricane their town loves and supports them, and show this national audience how great Tulsa is.”

For more information on ticket packaging for Chamber members, contact Alex Alston at AlexAlston@TulsaSports.org or 918.560.0227.
